Because hair grows gradually, a 1–2 inch sample reflects an average of exposure over approximately 2–3 months. This makes hair testing especially useful when diet or environment varies over time—for example, if you eat organic foods at home but consume conventional foods while traveling. Hair treatments such as bleaching or dyeing, as well as frequent exposure to chlorinated pools, may reduce detectable glyphosate levels and should be considered when interpreting results.
